However, for perspective, keep in mind that the website gave all of Kitsap County an overall score of 118.5.

The city also compares favorably to other Kitsap County cities like Kingston (127.7), Hansville (128), Seabeck (128.7), Burley (129.8), Indianola (132.8), Meadowdale (138.1), and Chico (139.5). Nearby Bainbridge Island came in at 183.3, and, on the other side of the Sound, Seattle scored 172.3.

So, there are plenty of places throughout this part of Washington that are more expensive, even though they don’t offer locals as many benefits as Poulsbo does. This is also why a lot of people decide to live in Poulsbo even if they work on Bainbridge Island or in Seattle.

For example, Poulsbo Woodfired Pizza offers a menu with some amazing options (beyond their beloved pizza) and a cozy atmosphere, but it’s also very reasonably priced. Another fun spot for a date is Kachai Thai Kitchen, which is excellent for delicious lunch or dinner dates for anyone on a budget.   

 

Silverdale, Bremerton, Bainbridge Island, and Seattle Are All Nearby

While Bainbridge Island is the most expensive city in Kitsap County, it’s not without affordable options for having a good time. For example, Fay Bainbridge Park is just one of many public parks that are great for hiking, picnics, or simply taking in the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

The island also hosts numerous cultural attractions like the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art and Bainbridge Island Historical Museum, both of which make for unique date spots that won’t cost you an arm and a leg.

Seattle can be a lot of fun, too. 

However, what many people don’t know is that Seattle can be very affordable, too. Just strolling through Pike Place Market could be fun for a date or any of Seattle’s many parks and gardens that are open to the public.
